Curiosity, appreciation of the importance of research methods in education, and love of learning.
Why are you interested in education? What drew you to this field?
I am passionate about teaching. I love guiding and mentoring students of all ages. It's a joy to be a teacher.
What qualities make someone particularly successful as a teacher?
Caring, compassion, empathy, love teaching students, and knowledge and skills related to teaching.
What do you think is the biggest challenge that educators face today?
Supporting all students to do the best that they can do and be successful learners.
What advice would you give to those considering a USM online education program?
USM is a great university to study education. Faculty members are caring, dedicated, knowledgeable, and very talented. They are committed to supporting the growth and development of their students. They are extraordinary.

Tell us something your students may not know about you.
I led a 30-person educational research team in the Republic of Singapore and have done research in Indonesia and the United States. I had dinner with Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand, who is the patron of persons with disabilities.
